No title today... nothing going on around here.

This past weekend was good! We went out to eat with some friends at a new Mexican restaurant, La Perla Tapatia. The food was good, but nothing special. Then we went back to our house and watched The Blind Side.

Saturday, I woke up bright and early and went to my grandmother's house for breakfast. We had a house full- Mama Lynn, mom, Courtney, Chloe, me, two aunts, one uncle, two cousins and a friend. Mama Lynn cooked biscuits, gravy (regular and chocolate), fried and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. YUM. I got to visit with mom and dad for a bit then it was off to town to pick Brad up. He was leaving his truck in town to have something repaired. I went home and napped for almost two hours (after popping a Benedryl and Tylenol for a cold/allergy issue). I felt much better after I woke up! Brad and I went to Russell's for a surprise 50th birthday party for my aunt. I forgot my camera at home so I didn't get any pictures. :( We had a nice meal (us, my mom, my aunt, her 5 kids, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandkids and most of her co-workers). Then it was birthday cake time! After we left, Brad was kind enough to go with me to the grocery store! Talk about an exciting Saturday night!

Sunday was typical too. Church in the morning, then I came home and picked up the house and did a few loads of laundry. I picked up some pizzas to eat during the Superbowl and Brad went flying with Tim. It was Tim's first ride and he loved it. We ended up staying home for the Superbowl and enjoying our pizzas our self!

Monday, we woke up to a surprise! 4-6 inches of SNOW! No warning at all the night before. In fact, the weathermen were predicting a 70% chance of RAIN. No rain for us--- it was snow and it was so pretty and fluffy, but we couldn't play in it because we had to work! I was going to ride with Brad to work, but his van couldn't make it out of the driveway. How crazy?! We had to switch all of his tools from his work van to his 4wd truck. Then we were off! I'll post some pictures later this week. It started raining Monday afternoon so it was nice, wet and mushy by the time we got home. Brad did get to throw a few snowballs at Amos though. He would throw one and hit him and Amos would buck and jump and grab it in his mouth and chomp on it until it was gone. That happened about 25 times until Brad's hand turned red and stiff.

Yesterday most of it was gone, but you could still see what was once snowmen all over the place. Tonight, Brad and I are making a quick trip to Tupelo to pick up some dog food for Amos and then we really don't have any other plans this week. Oh, I do have a girls-night-out-Bunco thing tomorrow night. We've decided not to play Bunco anymore but instead just meet at a restaurant and eat and talk. This should work out much better since people would forget their money or the dice or something. Plus we would only play a few times, but spend the majority of time waiting on someone to get there or just talking. No real game playing going on! Ha!

I still haven't picked my pictures up from Wal-Mart and I am not going to order anymore until I pick those up. Hopefully I'll meet my goal of being caught up before the end of this month! I know it's only Wednesday, but this hasn't been a good work week for me. In fact, today while at the grocery store (after being handled by a 90 yr old greeter) I picked up a small tub (one serving tub) of chocolate chip cookie dough and had that for lunch. Mmmmm.... ice cream makes everything better, right? Except for my sugar! Ha!

Tonight is Mercy!!!

Yay for Wednesday

I finally sat down and worked on ordering some of my pictures. I pulled out my most recent photo album and realized it hasn't been updated since August. So, I printed off several pictures of birthday parties and our vacation to the mountains and once I get those in and in the album I'll do a little more. Hopefully, I'll get caught up in the next few weeks.

Oh, I should tell you that the whole "joining the gym" thing fell through. Whitney told me Monday morning that she and her husband are moving to Oxford... immediately... as soon as they find a house! Soooo... no gym for me. :( Maybe I'll figure something else out.

I added 3 new posts with pictures. Maybe that will keep me up to date on here for a while. After you look at them you'll realize I'm a pretty boring person (even though you probably already new that). I have more pictures on my other camera card so maybe I'll get those uploaded and on here soon.

I've cooked twice this week! Monday night was meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. In my defense, Brad was working out so I went ahead and started the meatloaf. I was going to finish the sides once he called to let me know he was on his way home. He didn't call so the only thing I had finished was the mac-n-cheese so we settled for that. It was already 8pm and I was starving! Tuesday we had grilled pork chops, left over mac-n-cheese and roasted potatoes and green beans. It was another late night since Brad worked late. Tonight? L-e-f-t-o-v-e-r-s. I will not be cooking tonight. I have plans-- I'm either going to catch up on my shows (Biggest Loser, White Collar, and Mercy) OR I'm going to force my husband to "sit down and shut up" while we watch Twilight.

I started the book Sunday and finished it yesterday. It was pretty good so I'm looking forward to the movie even though everyone tells me it's not as good as the book.

Happy Hump Day!

Amos Moses

I was washing the cover to Amos' bed and thought I hid his mattress... until I found him like this! Snoozing!
Out like a light!

One Sunday when Brad was gone to Arkansas, I left the living room and come back to find him like this! He knows not to be on the couch! He hasn't been on it in probably 4-6 months.

I may or may not have made him move... Remember, Brad was in Arkansas and I miss my "lap dog"!

I thought we'd gotten away with it until one day this week we came in and found him like this!
Notice my nice throw he's laying on?
I asked him, "Amos, are you supposed to be on the couch?" and he turned his head up!
He's as long as our couch! Tip of nose to end of tail!
We may or may not be going to get a new blanket to lay put on the couch since I may or may not have convinced Brad that I need lap dog.

February Goals

I think I'm going to start posting monthly goals- or at least I'm going to try! This will help with my overall list for the year {maybe}.

1. Get all photo albums up to date. I seriously don't want to think how far behind I am on this. It's been since July, I think!! Talk about a hefty Wal-Mart photo bill.

2. Update pictures in picture frames. I haven't done this in a very long time so all of my pictures in frames are old and I want some new ones.

3. Start exercising. I bought Jillian Michael's "30 day shred" dvd and have yet to even watch it. It's been two weeks!

I think that should be enough for now! :)

Nothing New...

I just flipped through my calendar to see what we've been up to since the last time I posted. Lots of things have happened. Brad left on Friday, the 22nd, to go to Arkansas to duck hunt with his friends and I was left home alone (again) most of the weekend. That's typical during hunting season though! So I spent time cleaning and doing laundry (boring!) and then I was lazy for a while. I also got addicted to a new show on USA called White Collar. It's so funny- I even heard Brad laugh once while watching an episode.

Then Saturday evening, my brother-in-law, Brian, Courtney, Chloe, Mom, and Mama Lynn picked me up and we went to Tupelo. First stop was Cracker Barrel for some food and then it was time for the Rodeo. The "entertainment" was having an off night so we didn't get to see much "action", but it was still fun. After it was over and we were walking back to Mom's Yukon, Chloe said "this was my best night ever!" Then she said on the way home "Aunt Cassie, when I get taller, I'm going to be a barrel racer!" Yeah, I'm sure she had fun.

Sunday was the day Mama Lynn, mom and I went to the furniture market in Tupelo. I knew exactly what I was looking for and went straight to it and bought it-- the media center that matches our bedroom suit I bought in August. Luckily, they were discontinuing that style so I got it $80 cheaper than I was expecting! We left and went to Lowe's to buy a dolly and straps then went back to get it. Can you imagine a great-grandmother and a grandmother and me loading this huge, heavy thing on this dolly and hauling it across a huge building, thru a parking lot and then into the bed of the truck?! We got some serious looks and at one point a man asked "where are your husbands?" We politely told him we didn't need a man to help us and then I said "and my husband doesn't know I'm here buying anything. I'm going to surprise him when I get home!". Yeah, they got a kick out of that! We got it loaded up fairly easy then down the road we went. We did get Brad to help us unload it once we got back to my house. :) I'll leave out how happy he was that I surprised him with that when he kindly begged me not to buy anything, but I snuck off anyway. Oh, the joys of marriage.

The next week was pretty standard-- things like who gets to go home at lunch and let Amos out, cooking, cleaning, tv, working on banking school homework, paying bills, etc... except for...
Friday, we got a nice little ice storm type thing in our area. It started snowing around 8am and it was SO pretty. Then it turned cold and icy and by 10 the road were getting slick. The next thing I know the bank is closing at 11 so we can all get home before it gets worse. Wrecks were reported everywhere (but NO ONE in this area knows how to drive!) It took me about 45 minutes to make my 20 minute drive home. The "sad" part is that once the town shut down and almost everyone got home (Brad was still working) then the rain started and melted/washed everything away! HA! Oh well- it wasn't like we were going to all go back and open up again.

Friday night and the first half of Saturday was spent cleaning and picking up around the house, doing laundry and being lazy. It was nice. Brad didn't get to go to Arkansas for the last weekend of the season because of the weather so he was stuck with me! Poor thing! After lunch Brad decided we'd go to Tupelo. Yep, shocked me but you better believe I was up and ready to go in about 30 minutes. We went straight to Outback and then stuffed ourselves with way too much food, then to the mall to find Brad more jeans, then to the pet store. I was too full to shop for myself. Can you believe that? Plus, the mall was full of people. It was insane and I doubt we go back on a Saturday evening!

Sunday was church the grocery shopping for me and Brad got to fly from Corinth to Tupelo to Oxford back to Tupelo and back to Corinth to get in a cross country plus x amount of landings. He was excited. He probably hadn't flown in a month. I started reading Twilight and read over half of it Sunday evening/night. If I would known how into it I was, I would have started reading it earlier so I could have finished it in one day! I finished it today and I really liked it. I plan on watching the movie Wednesday. Brad is in charge of the remote tonight since I got to watch Bachelor last night. I really hope he doesn't force me to watch the History channel again like he did Saturday. If I hear "Mayan calendar" or "Nostradamus" one more time I might scream!!

I plan on posting a few pictures this week of the rodeo, Chloe dressed up in her dance outfits and Amos! {We caught him on the couch several times this week!}
