Hi ladies! Feel free to skip this unless you need some free sleeping aid! :) I wish I had something fun and exciting to talk about, but I don't! I just wanted to jot down a few things about our long, holiday weekend and the upcoming weekend.
Let's start off with last Friday. After work I went home and visited with mom, dad, Courtney & Chloe then I crashed on the couch and watched TV. I miss not living with my husband, but I do not miss our crazy Friday nights!
Saturday morning, mom and I moved out a few pieces of her bedroom furniture and started painting her bedroom. Luckily, we didn't have to prime so it went fairly quickly. After the first coat we got ready and went to town. We ate slugburgers, got Brad a pair of jeans, bought a few groceries, and went to my aunt's to load up a nightstand. My mom is buying a bedroom suit from her because she's selling her house and downsizing. Then it was back home to finish the second coat. Brad got in before we started so he took a nap while we painted. Then I cooled off, cleaned up again, and we left. We hit up Pepper's then went to a friend's house for his birthday party. He had a band and several people were there {we didn't know many; the "crowds" are changing now}.
Sunday, we skipped church {Brad worked
84 hours last week and was ex.haus.ted.} and met his parents, sister, brother and his girlfriend in town to eat lunch. After lunch, Brad and I headed to Tupelo to shop for him a new pair of work boots and work shirts {I really, really wanted to go, but we didn't have any time :(}. Then we met up with his parents at the FBO and Brad took them up in the 182. First up was his mom and sister and they flew around Tupelo. I was supposed to go up with them, but I am not a good backseat driver in a car, so I highly doubt I could of handled the backseat of a plane!! The second flight was his dad, brother and his girlfriend and they flew over the MSU campus and Smithville. After the flying was over, we ate at The Grill. FYI: do not get the garlic fries. EWW. YUCK. GROSS. Then we visited with his grandparents {at 9pm} and went home. Finally.
Monday, we were up and out the door at 7:30am headed for Arkansas. Brad's company cookout was Monday at lunch time. It was nice meeting the pilots and their wives/families and hearing their stories. The men tried to convince me that crop dusting is completely safe and even safer than being in a car {FYI: crop dusting is the 3rd most dangerous job in the world} and the women tried to tell me just how bad it is that they don't see their husbands at all during the spring/summer and only a bit in the fall, but then they're home all winter driving them nuts :) Hahaha! At 7:30pm I was out the door headed back to Mississippi.
It has been one long, short work week! I'm exhausted and it's already Friday-- which means time to get back at the busyness. Don't get me wrong, I love family time, I love seeing my husband and I love doing things with friends, but I promise it takes all week to recover from the weekend! I only have a day and a half {sometimes less} to wash all Brad's laundry, do his dishes {if I'm in AR}, visit with him, see his family when he comes in, go to church, hang out with friends, play with Amos, oh, and sleep and eat!
Speaking of... here's the agenda for this weekend:
Friday- work, check the house, run 4 errands
Saturday- school shopping in Memphis for Chloe {OMGeee, this baby is not old enough to be going to school- look for a post next week!}, wedding shower for Jenessa
Sunday- church, wedding shower for Ashley
Note: this does not include anything with Brad. Why? Because I have no idea if he's coming in or if I'm going there. Obviously, if I go there then my schedule will change, and if he comes in then my schedule will change. This is only the things I have written on my calendar, well, except for church. I haven't written that down, but I feel like I need to do so! In June, we were in church one Sunday... out of four!
Next week I should have pictures of my weekend. I accidentally left my camera at work last week so I didn't take one single picture!
Have a great weekend!!
