Friday 15

I have absolutely no idea where to start with a catch up post. Things have been bananas lately! I'm going to post the first 15 thoughts that pop into my head. Bare with me... :)
  1. We sold the house! I'm still sad and happy that I've only stalked it once.
  2. We moved everything into a storage unit. I spent lots and lots of time researching and organizing. I can honestly say I know where 95% of things are. Plus they're packed away with dryer sheets {to keep bugs away}, wooden pallets {to keep things off the floor}, drop cloths {to keep the wood furniture protected}, plastic, mouse poison, moisture catcher thingys and lots of bug spray. I feel much better now.
  3. I still haven't finished unpacking and organizing the apartment though. There are about 3 more tubs I need to work on. It doesn't help that Brad has moved in some of his hunting crap things already.
  4. I would have liked to finish the unpacking part, but I've been busy lately. Plus I can't sit in the floor to sort through things or sit on the couch and bend over digging in plastic tubs.
  5. My broken tail bone seems to be healing nicely. I'm very impatient though and want it to be done with... NOW. Combine that with the fact that I forget it's broken and then bad things happen. Long drives (over 30 minutes) are still not fun; neither is sitting at my desk at work.
  6. Brad and I went to an air show in Millington, TN a few weeks ago (pics to come soon) and had a good time. This was before I knew my tail bone was broken. I couldn't figure out why I was hurting SO badly. I was sitting in one of those folding chairs that you carry in a bag and I could barely move at the end of the show (almost 3 hour drive, 6 hour show and 3 hour drive home). I normally have a good tolerance for pain, but that was driving me crazy!!
  7. The next week Brad went to another one in Halls, TN or somewhere around there. He took a ride in a cool plane (pics to come). I stayed home :)
  8. Last weekend I drove to AR and met Brad at his workplace. We hopped in a plane and flew south to Inverness, MS for "Duster Doings". Basically this older ag pilot lets all of his ag pilot friends fly in and spend the day swapping stories and eating. It was an hour flight down and then a little more than an hour back {strong wind!} and so flippin' bumpy. It was my first flight in a 4 seater plane and my first flight to ride in the backseat {I don't even ride in the backseat of a car!!}. I didn't throw up, but I did come close on the flight back!
  9. Brad is registered for a week long ag course in Ft. Pierce, Florida! Guess who will be taking a week vacation and going with him? Me! The room is booked and the rental car is booked and we're ready to go! Just a few more weeks... I'm going to miss Amos though!! I've never been away from him for this long before. Amos is a special needs dog so I'm worried about him, but I know my mom and dad will take good care of him!
  10. Courtney {my sis} turned 29 and Chloe turned 6 last week. We partied Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday! I was party pooped out!
  11. I have no idea what this weekend holds and that's ok... I have a few things in mind.
  12. Monday is Columbus Day!! That means no work for me Monday!! Woot woot! I'm thrilled about this. Over the moon excited. I'm so ready for a day off.
  13. My mom, sister, niece and I plan on shopping Monday. Lord help us! Chloe hates shopping, I'm crippled, mom's crippled and Courtney has a heart condition. Fun times! Ha! Court and Clo are going on a cruise soon so they're looking for cruise clothes. Chloe needs fall clothes. Mom is just going {although we might convince her to buy a thing or two}. I'm in desperate need of fall clothes. I have sweaters, plenty of sweaters, but nothing to wear in fallish weather.
  14. Amos threw up four times this week. I have no idea why. He's such a sickly dog. He started chewing on his toy last night so I think he's finally feeling better.
  15. I plan on posting pictures very soon! I have so many I need to upload and edit and hopefully I'll have time to do that soon.
Happy Friday!!!

Fairwell Hinkle House

I apologize for being so "quiet" around here lately. So many things have been going on and I've been way too busy for blogging! One BIG, HUGE thing was that on Monday, September 12, 2011 Brad and I officially sold our house! We closed on it at 3:30 that day and celebrated with ice cream from Jimmy John's!

Brad came in on Friday night so we got an early start on Saturday morning. We {well, Brad and Levi} loaded and moved all the big pieces of furniture to our new {bigger} storage unit. Then we loaded and moved some things to our apartment. We ended the night with pizza and darts at Mike's. Sunday we started early again with moving more things. You really have NO idea how much stuff you have until you get ready to move it. To make matters worse/harder, we'll be storing almost everything we have because our apartment is packed full. I was slightly anal OCD about the way things were packed and labeled! I need everything to be perfectly packed and in order :)
Monday rolled around and we went back to the house for our final day. We cleaned the house from top to bottom- spic-n-span- and we I said our goodbyes. Brad was like "adios" and I was snapping pictures and reminiscing. Then he started laughing at me and I had to send him outside.

The LAST thing we did at Hinkle was take our T off the mailbox. This is how Brad felt...
Here are a few of the many pictures I snapped while my Nikon's battery was going dead! I can't believe I didn't charge it!
Goodbye master bedroom!

Goodbye laundry room {and washer and dryer}- I really liked that washer!

Goodbye big bathroom! I loved your linen closet, but never used your tub!

Goodbye living room! I loved your height and airiness. I'll miss the bead board we worked so hard on!

Goodbye again, living room! In the corner to the left is where my Christmas tree went :( On the wall to the right is where Brad got on one knee and proposed!!

Goodbye kitchen! I'm going to miss my pantry! We had many meals and gatherings in that room!

Goodbye again, kitchen. I worked long and hard to find the perfect buffet and artwork for that wall. I finally found it too :)

The Hinkle House
 06/19/07 - 09/12/11
I found this poem a very, very long time ago and saved it just for this... I had to reword {and I have absolutely NO idea where I found it or who wrote it}

"My first home as a blushing bride

Far from my home, Brad at my side.

Plans and dreams begin to unfold

and soon there's a precious Mastiff to hold.

And now we move on with memories in tow

We have a new home, a new place to go.

God, continue to guide us; lead us in your way.

Please bless our home and family this brand new day."

For those of you that think I'm crazy--- just hit that tiny X in the top right corner...

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess

... that instead of running into Kroger this morning I kept on driving- Jason Aldean was blaring on the radio!
... that I have had fast food one too many times this week.
... that I have been a certified heifer this week. Sorry!! I'm not sure what the funk is about, but it needs to get out of here!

I confess

... that something good happened this week {just can't tell you yet}!
... that I'm not getting excited about the good thing that just happened. It's too early! {Amos is NOT becoming a big brother}
... that I am ok with the results from last night's BB episode. A girl can change her mind, right?

I confess

... that I am going to have to start thinking about the future of the Hinkle House.
... that I need to figure out what I'm going to do with all of my furniture and belongings that are just camped out there.
... that I enjoy going to "visit" my house. I love my little house and I'll be sad when she's not a part of me anymore.

I confess

... that I'm craving junk food!
... that I skipped zumba last night. The guy was coming to work on my air conditioning unit! It is August. In Mississippi. The only thing worse than July in Mississippi is August in Mississippi.
... that I did pay the guy after he told me not to do so. I am just that kind of person! :)

I confess

... that I'm already shopping for fall clothes {haven't bought anything yet}
... that I don't want to rush this season of life away, BUT I love fall. LoVe.
... that I am itching to get out of town for a day or two.
... that I miss Oxford and need a day to visit before football season starts and all heck breaks loose. Have you been in that town on game day? Insane!

I think that is enough confessions for one day, don't you? Hope you ALL have a great weekend!!

WILW: Fall

Click here to read what others are loving today!
What I'm Loving Today is all things Fall/Autumn related. I've never, ever been a fan of summer {except summer break in school}. Something about the heat, humidity, random showers that make the heat and humidity worse, and heat index just doesn't cut it for me. Fall is my favorite season! I've noticed more and more shops are putting out their fall clothes now and a few decorating stores are putting out all things "harvest" related. Yes, the girl in Kirkland's yesterday corrected me when I asked about the "fall" things. She asked "you mean the harvest things?" Whatevs. Moving on... most of these do not need captions, but speaking is not an option. I was born to talk/write/convey messages.
I want this. I need this. I love this.

I would have this in a heartbeat if he wasn't so darn expensive.

Ok, ok, this is slightly freaky looking, but I have a weakness for owls.
Cute doormat!

I wanted this pumpkin last year but didn't get it.

Not exactly "harvest" but I still love it!

Cute lantern! I love this color, but an orange one would be cute!

I have way too many jar candles and this would make them look even cuter!

Bath & Body Works candles are the best!

Smells yummy- not too sweet!

Possibly my favorite!

Probably my 2nd favorite!

Cuteness. Total cuteness.

Everything but the candles are from Kirklands. Candles are from Bath and Body Works.

What are you loving today?

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess...

that I haven't been doing so well with my eating habits this week.
that I am ready for the weekend.
that I am curious to see how tomorrow night goes {Jenessa's "Girls Night Out"}

I confess...

that I'm ready to be home, in my pajamas, and eating orange sherbet a healthy snack.
that Amos has been slightly neglected this week.
that my apartment has been slightly neglected this week. Definitely in need of a deeeeep cleaning.

I confess...

that no such "deeeeeep cleaning" will take place this weekend. Way too much to do!
that I'm behind on Big Brother, but I will catch up tonight... along with Suits {who else loves that show?}
that I'm already planning my next unhealthy meal! Some days a greasy burger and fries makes everything better. Get used to it!
that I've done some slight damage while shopping the last few weeks! :)

I confess...

that my "baby" will start Kindergarten next week and I might cry. When did she get old enough to start school??
that I might be late for work the day my niece starts Kindergarten. I will have to stalk her and take pictures, won't I??

And lastly, I confess that my frig looks like this...

What? You don't keep lumps of coal in your frig?
And newspapers? And coffee??

I Someone may or may not have accidentally turned the refrigerator completely off last week?!?! Apparently, coffee, charcoal, and coffee are rumored to absorb any nasty smells. We shall see!!

Just another Manic Monday

So, the camera stayed in the purse all weekend and not one single picture was taken. There just wasn't much to see! Next weekend should be better!

I was busy this weekend though! Friday night rounded out a week of VBS at my mom's church. Exhausted doesn't even begin to describe how I felt after it was over! Saturday, Kayla and I met up and went shopping in Jackson, TN. Our first stop was Trees N Trends and I was so disappointed! :( If you were in the mood for patio furniture then you were in luck. Those of us not shopping for that was definitely out of luck. We'll definitely have to go back this fall. Next up was Hobby Lobby and it didn't disappoint! Kayla was shopping for Minnie Mouse items for her niece's first birthday and we found several things. I also picked up a few things that were not on my list, but oh, well... Now if only I could find somewhere to put that pillow!! :) A few other places were Ulta {nail polish x 2}, Bed Bath & Beyond {hangers}, Dress Barn, Rue 21, Old Navy, Grass Monkey {two scarves}, Target, {two dresses & earrings} Dollar Tree and a party store. I'm not 100% sure that this is the complete list though! :) We rounded out our shopping trip with Steak N Shake! Yummy to my tummy! Eight hours after we left going, we returned home. Eight hours! It was super fun though! {Minus the part about me finding a lost little boy crying and terribly upset in Target. I really wanted to slap his mother, but I didn't. Heifer}

Brad got in from Arkansas right before I got home. We cleaned up and headed to a friend's 30th birthday party. Chad is the funniest guy you will ever meet. I call him sometimes when I'm having a bad day and he will have me rolling in tears in less than 5 minutes. In fact, one time I was laughing/snorting/crying so hard two people from around my office came in to check on me!

Sunday was an interesting day! We started it off at church, followed by lunch at Pizza Hut. I wish Brad didn't have such a love for PH, but oh well. Pizza is one of my favorite foods, but Pizza Hut buffet is not. Anywho, it wasn't that bad. After we ate, we headed to our house to check on this AND to show it to a lady.  A lady that never showed. I called; she didn't answer OR call me back. Heifer. We waited around 2 hours. In the mean time, we both took naps. Brad really does miss that enormous, leather recliner! I miss my couch as well, but it's all for a good cause, I suppose :) We headed back to the apartment and relaxed for a bit. Then we headed back to town to eat at a local steak house then home to bed because 3:20 am comes reallllly early!

This morning, I feel like a zombie. Amos kept me up most of the night and then I had to get up early with Brad. Then I could not go back to sleep {Amos was whining/crying}. Ugh! Zumba is going to kick my tail tonight- it's been two weeks and I haven't stayed the least bit active in those two weeks!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Random Thoughts

This week has been a whirlwind... I can't believe that tomorrow is Friday {normally the week just drags on and on, but not this week}. Instead of my What I'm Loving post or post about once certain thing, I thought I'd fill you in on the last few days all in one random post. Try to stay with me :)

My first chiropractor appt was Tuesday and it was Heaven. Should have gone sooner!

Found these little gems in a bin at Wal-Mart for 97 cents. They're so good! The next box will hang out in the frig for a while before I eat them though; I think they will be even better cold!

A fan similar to this helps Amos and me stay a little cooler at night. Couldn't live without it right now! It's July. In Mississippi!

Amos has had some nasty sores pop up and this stuff really helps!
 * I may or may not have *accidentally* turned off my frig at our house.
* It may or may not smell like a dead animal... in my house... it's nasty. Beyond nasty. Thank God for moms! Mine is going to clean that mess out!
* Amos is getting better at taking his vitamins and that really helps this mom out! You try forcing 3 big pills down a 190lb dog's mouth after he shuts his jaw- it's like steel!
* It's hot. Too hot. But I found this on the world wide web and now I will shut up:
“I was going to complain about how hot it is... then I realized: 1.) It isn't 109 degrees; 2.) I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3.) I'm not dressed in a full BDU uniform & helmet and carrying 70+ lbs. of gear; and 4.) There is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today! Thanks to all who serve!!”

* I must clarify that it is 109 degrees in MS, BUT you get the idea!! I'm sorry, I'm just one of those people that like to make sure things are explained. Fully.
* I'm going shopping this weekend with Kayla. I hope to find/buy a few things!
* Saturday night, a friend is having a 30th birthday party. Chad is the funniest guy you will ever meet. He has me in tears every time I see him {I cry every time I laugh}.
* The weight gain/loss thing is annoying me.
* Chloe starts school in two weeks. I am in awe. Yesterday she was still a tot in diapers running around with her mullet!
* I hope Brad gets to come in this weekend. 1) I want him to be able to go to Chad's b-day party. 2) I don't want to drive an hour to Jackson, TN, shop all day, then drive an hour home only to pack up and drive two hours to Nowhereville, AR. 3) Brad would rather come in town than stay in his tin-can.
* I've been helping my mom's church with VBS this week and I'm exhausted! We go straight home after work, change, then straight to church. If I keep going downhill, by Saturday morning I will need a swift kick to get out of bed!
* Amos still hasn't stopped shedding.
* I'm not liking the fact that Big Brother is already making me nervous! Hello! It's only week 2! I'm not happy with the fact that Jordan didn't put up Brendon and Rachel. That "red haired hyena" drives me nuts! That's Whitney's nickname for her :)
* Tomorrow is Friday!! I go back to the chiropractor! It's only 75% awkward. I know him. Knew him in high school. We were good friends. I used to pet his hair {true story, the boy has the softest hair!} and sit next to him on school trips. Oh, and we went to Prom together. I {the senior} took him {the junior} and it was fun. Anywho, awkward! But it was nice too.
* Want me to keep going? No? OK, fine, but I have a dozen more points I could use...
Happy Friday Eve!

Weekend Recap

My weekend started off in a cruddy sort of way, but it got much better!

Friday after work I visited our house to check things out and realized we have a new creature living in our house. Ugh! I left there and checked our storage unit and then headed to McDonald's for a Rolo McFlurry. Both drive thru lines were backed out around the building so I headed to Sonic. I tried their new Turtle Sundae Shake and was disappointed. Silly me wasn't thinking it would have chocolate ice cream {yuck} so it got nibbled on and then trashed. I went straight home and caught up on my DVRd shows. {I am so happy to have my DVR back!!}

Doesn't it look tasty?
Saturday got better when I found out Brad got off work early and would be home by 12! We loaded up and went back to our house and he mowed/weeded while I cleaned every nook and cranny of the house. Oddly enough we finished up about the same time. We cleaned up and headed to Tupelo {oh, how I miss living that close to Tupelo/the mall/restaurants/any shopping}. Brad and I started our shopping trips {as usual} at PetSmart. Amos has started taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin vitamins! Next up was the mall. I was on a mission for a dress to wear to Jenessa's wedding and then another dress or cute top to wear to her Girls Night Out. I found neither! :( but I did find a top similar to this one in white and the ruffles were straight, not diagonal; this tank in the brownish/taupe color, and a third top that was white with gray stripes, plus this sweater in the darker fuchsia color! Everything was 1/2 off! :) I gave up on the dress idea and we left the mall. Our next and final stop was Outback. Yum! There's nothing better than their Bloomin' Onion, bread, salad, steak and sweet potato! We left fat and happy and headed home.

Sunday, we skipped church so we could finish up errands for Brad. He needed an "aviation resume" and a 250 word essay {he's applying for an aviation scholarship} before he went back to Arkansas. We finished that up in between watching Swamp People and then headed back to the house to finish spraying Kudzu. We also visited with a friend, and stopped by McDonald's for their Rolo McFlurry! I ended up sharing my McFlurry; honestly, I wasn't that impressed with it. We finished off the night watching way too many episodes of Ice Road Truckers.

Mine looked very similar to this one :)
Brad was on the road by 3:40 this morning headed back to Arkansas. Y'all, I was up from 2:30 {thanks to Amos} to after 4. I'm tired and sleepy! My mom's church is having Vacation Bible School this week so I'll be helping with that. Every day. For 2 or more hours. She owes me.

I wish I had pictures to add, but again, another boring, picture-less post. I'll try to snap a few this week just to keep things alive?! :)

Happy Monday everyone!

Friday Five or Fifteen?!

I used to do this thing called "Friday Five" a very long time ago. It's been so long that I thought I would try to get back into the habit of posting again... Anywho, let's start off with five random things:

1. Amos has never been fond of storms, but he's never really been afraid of them either. Until now. This Wednesday we were supposed to have more bad weather {in fact, Brad was sent home from work and told to find some place safe}. We've had a few spells in the past few weeks and Amos hasn't really acted up. Until now. Brad was so tired when he got in Wednesday that he ended up falling asleep on the couch. I was watching the radar so I knew when it was supposed to hit. First the rain picked up, then the lightening and finally loud roars of thunder. You could almost feel the high winds inside of our little apartment. It was right at bedtime so I was doing the bedtime routine {washing my face, letting Amos out, taking my nightly meds, etc...} and of course it would be time for Amos to go potty before bedtime. Do you know how hard it is to make a dog that size go potty in heavy rain/winds and constant lightening and thunder? Nearly impossible. He finally got outside and then froze! I could read his mind-- "NO WAY I'M GETTING OUT IN THIS. MOM IS NUTS IF SHE THINKS I'M GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO MY BUSINESS RIGHT NOW?!?!" After much work on both of our parts he finally finished up and ran back inside. I dried him off and WHAM?! More heavy thunder and lightening. The house shook and the lights flickered and you could hear loud pops! I was determined to go to bed and not worry too much. {Silly me}. Next thing I know, my sweet Amos is barking and jumping and attempting to howl every time something happened. Thunder? BARK! Lightening? BARK! JUMP! More thunder? BARK! {Brad still sleeping- by now he is in the fetal position and completely unaware of anything}. Loud bowling ball alley sounding thunder? BARK! JUMP! HOWL! BARK! BARK! Surely you get the point. Now, at this time I have crawled out of the bed and I am in the floor with him and he is shaking like a leaf out in the storm. The thunderstorm lasted 47 hours almost an hour. I was completely beside myself by then and laying in the floor with Amos trying to keep him calm. It was a long night. So, if you find yourself down and out just picture me laying in the floor trying to console my sweet, terrified 190 pound English Mastiff while my *&%*#%& darling husband slept in the fetal position.

2. Kayla and I went to watch Something Borrowed last night and I loved it! No, it wasn't as good as the book, BUT it was a great movie. I hear there is going to be a part two- Something Blue- so I'm excited about that as well!

3. Before the movie started we watched several previews and have started our list of what we want to watch next. First up is Abduction and the next one is One Day.

4. Monday is Memorial Day {and my three day weekend}! Woot woot!! I have absolutely no plans at this point, but I'm sure something will come up. Brad doesn't know his weekend work schedule, but maybe he'll get to come in and grill me a burger!

5. Tomorrow is Sweet Saturday, but at this point I'm not in the mood for ice cream {HELLO? WHAT?!?! This is a first. Period. Ever.}. I'm really wanting a Big Mac {hold the onion and pickle}! HA! I don't want to eat all of it- just a few bites of that burger and special sauce to eat with a small handful of French fries. YUM.

6. Kayla and I "splurged" on the kid meal {this eating healthy thing is slowly, slowly, slowly getting better} at the Malco last night- tiny order of popcorn and drink along with some fruit snacks! Actually, it was probably a solid adult serving- portion sizes are nuts in America! We ate it slowly and tried to make it last as long as we could {or at least that's what I did}.

7. While we were waiting on the movie to start I noticed my grandmother come in all by herself. I motioned for her to come sit with us and she did. She had brought Savannah and a couple of friends to watch a movie. It was fun getting to spend a few minutes with her!

8. Last Friday, I showed the house to a couple. They seemed very interested in it; in fact, they said they were going to the bank Monday. Today is Friday. I haven't heard from them. Not at all. No "hey, we're working on paperwork." No "we were denied a loan". No "we changed our mind". No "my husband got abducted by aliens." Nothing. Rude. Very rude.

9. While at the branch today I was offered a fun size Snickers bar. I said "no". I deserve a treat for saying no, right?! :)

10. I had a breakfast meal from McDonald's this morning. We always eat out on Friday mornings but I've been trying to find something healthy to eat for breakfast at a fast food place and haven't had much luck. Anyway, I had hotcakes and they were melt-in-your-mouth good. So, to make up for the breakfast I had, I skipped lunch and had two packs of 100 calorie cookies. HA! Yes, I realize that is not the best decision I've made, but today has been nutso so that's what I went with.

11. I just realized that on my agenda this weekend will be making sure our grass gets mowed at our house and that our new flag gets put out on the porch. Brad better come in because I'm done and over mowing!

12. My sister, brother-in-law and niece will be camping this weekend so we won't get to see them :(

13. My new swimsuits came in yesterday {early!}. They fit, but that's all I'll say. I have to return a few pieces since I bought multiple to try on, but I ended up with two sets!

14. My new swimsuits will be displayed somewhere very visable in my aparment so I can remind myself that in less than three weeks I'll be wearing them!! Also, I will take a pic and save it as the background on my phone. Every little reminder helps, right?! :)

15. I found a few more pictures on mom's camera I wanted to post. These are from my birthday :)

This is my "deer in the headlights" look. What do you think?

Life Lately

So many odd things have been happening lately and I haven't really documented them. I'm not quite sure why. I know I've been busy with random things lately, but so much has happened in our area and in our lives.

First up is the devastating tornadoes that hit on April 27 {it's also Whitney's birthday!}. We didn't have much damage in our area, but other places like Huntsville & Tuscaloosa, AL and Smithville, MS were dramatically changed. Smithville, a small town with a population of less than 1,000 was hit the hardest in our area. Basically the entire town was wiped off the map. Just about every single business and home in the area was completely destroyed. Tuscaloosa had major damage as well. Hunstville didn't have as much damage {as in human lives/deaths}, but the main power line feeding Hunstville and most of North Alabama from TVA were wiped out by the tornadoes. It's amazing to see people jump into action... people that know no one from that area or have any connections are loading up to make the two hour drive to volunteer. Plenty of food and clothing has been donated and they're updating the "needs" list daily.

Secondly is the major flooding that's happening with the Mississippi River. It finally crested today. The highest it's been since the early 1940's. Tunica, MS is almost completely under water and all of the casinos have shut down; they were smart and prepared and closed before the water got there so most of the gaming machines were moved and money was already transported out. Not that I'm too upset about the casinos flooding, but that means additional 1000s of people are now unemployed. This is not the time to be unemployed. Luckily, the levee didn't break so thousands of other homes/businesses/land were saved. We heard today that the water will begin receeding today and constantly go down over the next couple of weeks.

I took major interest in the flooding since Brad and I are separated by the Mississippi River! There were talks of shutting down the east bound lanes of I-55 and parts of I-40 were already shut down. This would have prevented Brad from getting back home and Fema Lema might have been floating in a wheat field somewhere?!

Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day! I went to church with mom, Mama Lynn, Aunt Shelly and John Aaron. Afterwards, we had lunch at Chapman's. Brad came in on Saturday and he spent most of his time in MS bush-hogging our land in Hinkle. It's hard getting and keeping things in order over there since Brad is only here for about a day a week. I really wish the house would hurry up and sell! I'm ready to be done with that chapter and move on!

Speaking of... our house is for sale and now our airplane is too! Talk about paying for advertising?! Ha! I know that now is not a good time to be selling anything, but we're going to try anyway. What else can we do? We need to get rid of both things ASAP {I plan on using what ever money we make on the house as a down payment on a car!}. Now you know why I'm in such a hurry {other than paying a mortgage payment on a house we're not living in, along with power/water and the airplane payment on a plane we aren't really using}! :)

I finally come to a good stopping point on reading for now. I'm going to start using what free time I have to attempt to sew?! Yep, after 5 months of my NICE machine sitting and collecting dust, I'm about to start using her! I've already got my instructions, fabric and accessories lined up. Hopefully today I can start. I'll be sure to post pictures of anything decent I might come up with.

Oh, and I almost forgot! A good friend of mine, Mathieu {Matt} and his girlfriend are in from Wyoming. I haven't seen Matt in a very long time, other than 10 minutes at Christmas, so we met up for lunch yesterday at Borroum's. It wad great catching up and finally getting to meet Kelsey. They've been together a little over a year now and we've only "talked" on facebook and email and one phone call. They're headed to Baton Rouge then to Denver for his next job. He probably won't be in again until Christmas 2011 unless he happens to find a house for sale here. We're both watching the internet and listings hoping to find him something. IF that happens then they'll fly in and check it out one weekend. I keep telling him he should buy the Hinkle House and just build in front of the house. Too bad he won't listen?! HA!

It's Tuesday and I hope to have an easy going week, but so far it's already busy! :(

Hinkle House Tour- Master Bedroom

You've seen the living room; now it's time for the master. I don't really have a certain order, but I guess you can say I'm moving clock-wise around my house!

Our lovely "before" pictures. You can see the color they painted on the walls in the bedroom, bathroom, and cabinets. We had some nasty carpet, too.
This is where the bed is now...
AFTERS! :)
When you walk in from the hallway, our bed is on the left.

This is to give you an idea of how tall the ceilings are!

The door to the hallway is on the left of the chest {or chest of drawers depending on what you call it :))

Hallway door on left; bathroom door on right {yes, it's a clown size door- you should see my 6'1 hubby walk through/under it}. The fish bowl holds Brad's loose change. The picture was taken as Brad and I were leaving in the limo after our wedding. The candle & candle holder are from the wedding too.

Our dresser! Another wedding picture; a piece of pottery with "Taylor" made by Hinkle Creek Pottery and we live in Hinkle :) My grandmother gave me the plant-stand to use as a night stand since ours won't fit against the wall. It works out really well!

The door on the left is my tiny closet and the door on the right goes into the living room.
Now you can see all three doors {closet, living room, hallway)

My "night-stand" is a black bar stool- it's the only thing small enough to fit into that space and I have to have a night-stand.

Notice from the front, you can't really tell what sort of lamp we have...

That's because Brad was allowed to help decorate...

In October of 2005, my apartment in Oxford was broken into while I was home for a wedding. The thieves stole my entire jewelry box filled with jewelry. That Christmas, Brad gave me a new jewelry box---- and it was filled with jewelry {earrings, necklaces, bracelets)!

That's the end of the tour! Thanks for stopping by! :)
