Friday 15

I have absolutely no idea where to start with a catch up post. Things have been bananas lately! I'm going to post the first 15 thoughts that pop into my head. Bare with me... :)
  1. We sold the house! I'm still sad and happy that I've only stalked it once.
  2. We moved everything into a storage unit. I spent lots and lots of time researching and organizing. I can honestly say I know where 95% of things are. Plus they're packed away with dryer sheets {to keep bugs away}, wooden pallets {to keep things off the floor}, drop cloths {to keep the wood furniture protected}, plastic, mouse poison, moisture catcher thingys and lots of bug spray. I feel much better now.
  3. I still haven't finished unpacking and organizing the apartment though. There are about 3 more tubs I need to work on. It doesn't help that Brad has moved in some of his hunting crap things already.
  4. I would have liked to finish the unpacking part, but I've been busy lately. Plus I can't sit in the floor to sort through things or sit on the couch and bend over digging in plastic tubs.
  5. My broken tail bone seems to be healing nicely. I'm very impatient though and want it to be done with... NOW. Combine that with the fact that I forget it's broken and then bad things happen. Long drives (over 30 minutes) are still not fun; neither is sitting at my desk at work.
  6. Brad and I went to an air show in Millington, TN a few weeks ago (pics to come soon) and had a good time. This was before I knew my tail bone was broken. I couldn't figure out why I was hurting SO badly. I was sitting in one of those folding chairs that you carry in a bag and I could barely move at the end of the show (almost 3 hour drive, 6 hour show and 3 hour drive home). I normally have a good tolerance for pain, but that was driving me crazy!!
  7. The next week Brad went to another one in Halls, TN or somewhere around there. He took a ride in a cool plane (pics to come). I stayed home :)
  8. Last weekend I drove to AR and met Brad at his workplace. We hopped in a plane and flew south to Inverness, MS for "Duster Doings". Basically this older ag pilot lets all of his ag pilot friends fly in and spend the day swapping stories and eating. It was an hour flight down and then a little more than an hour back {strong wind!} and so flippin' bumpy. It was my first flight in a 4 seater plane and my first flight to ride in the backseat {I don't even ride in the backseat of a car!!}. I didn't throw up, but I did come close on the flight back!
  9. Brad is registered for a week long ag course in Ft. Pierce, Florida! Guess who will be taking a week vacation and going with him? Me! The room is booked and the rental car is booked and we're ready to go! Just a few more weeks... I'm going to miss Amos though!! I've never been away from him for this long before. Amos is a special needs dog so I'm worried about him, but I know my mom and dad will take good care of him!
  10. Courtney {my sis} turned 29 and Chloe turned 6 last week. We partied Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday! I was party pooped out!
  11. I have no idea what this weekend holds and that's ok... I have a few things in mind.
  12. Monday is Columbus Day!! That means no work for me Monday!! Woot woot! I'm thrilled about this. Over the moon excited. I'm so ready for a day off.
  13. My mom, sister, niece and I plan on shopping Monday. Lord help us! Chloe hates shopping, I'm crippled, mom's crippled and Courtney has a heart condition. Fun times! Ha! Court and Clo are going on a cruise soon so they're looking for cruise clothes. Chloe needs fall clothes. Mom is just going {although we might convince her to buy a thing or two}. I'm in desperate need of fall clothes. I have sweaters, plenty of sweaters, but nothing to wear in fallish weather.
  14. Amos threw up four times this week. I have no idea why. He's such a sickly dog. He started chewing on his toy last night so I think he's finally feeling better.
  15. I plan on posting pictures very soon! I have so many I need to upload and edit and hopefully I'll have time to do that soon.
Happy Friday!!!

WILW: Fall Part 2

Yay for hump day!! A few weeks ago I did a WILW post about fall and today I will do part 2!

Don't forget to visit here!
This will be the second brand eye roller I have tried and so far I'm loving it. Will I buy it again? Maybe. I really want to try a few others before I label one as my "favorite".
I finally caved and jumped on the bandwagon. Yep, I joined {and now stalk/use} Pinterest. I'm loving all the ideas I'm finding. I've even started my shopping list after browsing around.

Fall is, hands down, my favorite time of year. It's the cooler temp, colors, smells and changes that I love. Plus it kick starts the holiday season. Leaves around here have started slowing changing colors and the weather has been cooler for a day or two. It's that time!
I love pumpkins! I haven't carved one in years, but it's on my "fall bucket list" this year.
Now that the weather is getting cooler it's time to bring out the light jackets! I love cooler weather! I read somewhere the other day that fall is God's gift to Southerners for surviving summer. :)
I haven't put away my flip flops yet, but I have been sporting my Toms a few times already. I love my Toms! A second pair is already on my list of "must have: fall clothes".
I'm loving this new show! It's my kind of humor and I laugh out loud almost the entire episode. I used to want to have guy roommates- I just think that would be easier than living with girls {most of my friends are guys!}
Maybe sometime soon I'll do a post about my fall line-up for this season. There's several new shows out that are good and are replacing some of my old faves {like CSI}.

I hope you all are loving something today!

WILW: Fall

Click here to read what others are loving today!
What I'm Loving Today is all things Fall/Autumn related. I've never, ever been a fan of summer {except summer break in school}. Something about the heat, humidity, random showers that make the heat and humidity worse, and heat index just doesn't cut it for me. Fall is my favorite season! I've noticed more and more shops are putting out their fall clothes now and a few decorating stores are putting out all things "harvest" related. Yes, the girl in Kirkland's yesterday corrected me when I asked about the "fall" things. She asked "you mean the harvest things?" Whatevs. Moving on... most of these do not need captions, but speaking is not an option. I was born to talk/write/convey messages.
I want this. I need this. I love this.

I would have this in a heartbeat if he wasn't so darn expensive.

Ok, ok, this is slightly freaky looking, but I have a weakness for owls.
Cute doormat!

I wanted this pumpkin last year but didn't get it.

Not exactly "harvest" but I still love it!

Cute lantern! I love this color, but an orange one would be cute!

I have way too many jar candles and this would make them look even cuter!

Bath & Body Works candles are the best!

Smells yummy- not too sweet!

Possibly my favorite!

Probably my 2nd favorite!

Cuteness. Total cuteness.

Everything but the candles are from Kirklands. Candles are from Bath and Body Works.

What are you loving today?

WILW

Don't forget to link up today!

I'm loving Starburst!
I've been craving Starburst and finally got a small bag on Monday.
 I'm loving these brownie bites!
I'm not loving the calorie count though :(
I'm loving this oddball too! Even if I think he has more crazy days than normal ones :)
I'm loving this store. I can probably count on one hand how many times I've been into Loft since it opened in the mall in Tupelo. They have such cute things, but not cute prices. I lucked up on a good sale two weeks ago so now I'm stalking them again! :)
I'm loving Target, as usual! Too bad I have to drive 60+ miles to the closest one! Target people, if you are listening, please add Tupelo, MS to your list of places to build!
I found this dress and this dress this past weekend. Can't wait to wear them!

* I'm loving that fall clothes are starting to hit the shelves! Yes, I'm still buying for summer, but I LoVe fall. It's my favorite season!
* I'm loving my sweet Amos. I hate he can't be my little lap dog so instead, I crawl down in the floor and lay in his lap :) And when I do, he'll put his little big sweet paw on me.
* I'm loving my sweet, brave, precious mama for cleaning out my horrible, nasty, terrible, stinky, yucky, gross, nasty, horrible, very bad smelling frig this past week. It was bad. Very bad. Ugh, I might throw up {again} thinking about it. Yeah, I was hid out in the bathroom making friends with my toilet while my mom was cleaning that nastiness out. Ewww. Bless her. She's a tough woman.
*I'm loving that this Saturday night will be spent with a close friend and some others for a little Girl's Night Out. Jenessa's getting married in 9 days!

I think that's all for now! Happy Hump-Day everyone! I've got to get back to work :(

Autumn!

Today, Thursday, September 23rd is officially the first day of Autumn {or "fall" as I like to call it}. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE

Now if only the weather felt like fall and not summer... we have been breaking records almost all week with our 95+ degree temperatures! I'm ready for the leaves to start changing colors, ready for long sleeve t's, ready for my pumpkin and spice candles, ready for corn and hay and scarecrows, ready for... ok, fall is my favorite time of year!

Fall exploded in my living room!

Ok, so Monday I decided to take down my fall things to get ready to put out my Christmas things. I really didn't want to take things down and box them up then unbox and set out new things all in the same day. Who has that much time?! So, as I was putting them all together, my nerdy side came out and I decided to make a list of the things I have and the things I want/need for next year. Amos is such a shadow that he has to be by my side at all times. I sat down in the floor and he did too! It's hard to work with him laying on top of me so I finally got him situated next to the big pile-- where he then decided it would be a good idea to try to eat all of the berries.

Looking at this pile, it doesn't seem like a lot, but trust me... it is! Probably too much for our small house, but one day we'll be in a bigger house and I will already have enough to decorate it-- or at least that's what I tell Brad! :)

Can you see him?

What about now?

Pictures!

Sweet "little" Amos (with a sore on his muzzle...)

Cheesing with Amos outside on Veteran's Day

He was ready for his close-up!

Now, it's fall picture time!

This pretty thing is now leaf-less and sad looking...

So is this one....

Catching Up... Again

I don't even know where I left off, but I'll try to hit the high-notes, because, let's face it... it's way too much to type (and House is on).

Tuesday, the day before Veteran's Day our Harper Rd branch was robbed. It was terrible and it ended in a police chase/car wreck. The driver didn't make it and the passenger (that robbed the bank at gun point) is still in a coma and heavily sedated. It was a loooong day Tuesday. Thankfully, the banks were closed the next day (Happy Veteran's Day!!) so everyone got to take some time to recover from the robbery. I'm sitting here (watching House) trying to remember what I did that day... I seriously can't remember. OH! I got it. I woke up 30 minutes later than usual to get Brad up and ready and out the door. I seriously don't know how he ever made it to work before we got married. So, he's out the door and I get ready and meet mother in town. Then, we meet up with my sister, Courtney, and my grandmother, Mama Lynn. Next, the fun starts! We headed to Goat Island (Pickwick) to my sister and brother-in-law's camper. We helped get it ready for the winter. Then it was home to clean out my car and to snap a few pictures. It was SO nice to be off that day.

There is a downside to being off one day in the middle of the week... that's coming back to work the next day. I'm trying to a more positive person (and less whiny on this blog) so I'll tell you that there's also an upside to such a crazy, busy, mind-blowing day, and that's when you're so stinking busy you don't sit all day, the day goes by SO much faster than any normal day. {How many run-on sentences was that?}

That brings us to Friday (my favorite day of the workweek). After work, Brad and I met up with our Sunday school class at Chapman's to eat with our pastor and his family. It's nice to get out with people we normally only see on Sundays. After we stuffed ourselves it was time to head back to town. Brad's grandfather was in the hospital with pneumonia (he's ok and home now). Then it was off to bed; 5am comes realllly early.

Brad decided to work Saturday and I cleaned the house! Blah! I hate cleaning. I talked with Brad about hiring a maid. He didn't agree until I told him we would be splitting the chore list in half. Ha! Brad finally made it home sometime around 2:00 or so. He cleaned up and we headed to town. We visited his grandparents again then it was off to the airport--- where Brad somehow convinced me to fly with him. What was I thinking?? Ok, so it wasn't that bad; in fact, it was much better than the first (and only) time I flew with him. We were in the air when the sun set. I think I handled this trip quite nicely (if I do say so myself). Brad was pretty impressed too!

Sunday was nice! It included church, visiting Brad's grandparents, grocery shopping, and visiting my mom. Then we grilled burgers for some friends and I made some Rotel (with cream cheese instead of Velveeta) and spinach dip. Yum!

Nothing too exciting this week (of course, it's only Tuesday- I started this post yesterday). Brad is helping all of his hunting buddies prepare for duck season-- opens Saturday-- so he's been coming home late. I decided to take down all of my fall things this week. Actually it's pretty much all down except for the few things on my porch. I'm sure everything will be back in the orange tubs and in the shed by this weekend. Amos was very helpful while I was trying to separate and make note of what all I have. Yes, I wrote everything down and I plan on keeping it so next year I won't be tempted to buy more! Ha! I'll get some pictures posted tonight or tomorrow, because... seriously... who cares about reading all of this? Not me! And it's my life. HA! Pictures are much more fun! :) Maybe one day my life won't be so plain and boring and I'll have something to write about other than our busy weekends and our dog...

:)

Catching Up-- Part 4

Let's just start at the beginning... of November... hitting only the high spots... or those that I can remember...

Halloween 10/31---> we went out to eat then to a friend's party. We were the only married couple there and except for the guy's parents', Brad was the oldest. Didn't stay long, but long enough to see some wild costumes. Heard it got pretty exciting after we left, but we just aren't exciting people! HA!

11/2-11/5---> Noting too exciting. I helped Jenessa put up one of her Christmas trees. We put up her 15' HUGE tree with TONS of glittery things. We spent two days on that. Brad also took his dad flying for the first time. They went at sunset and flew a little after it got dark. He seemed to really enjoy it. He also got up early two mornings and flew before work. He said it's pretty nice then!

11/6 After work (where the crazy ding-bats came out of the wood-works) Brad and I went to eat at Pizza Grocery then home. We went to bed early so I could get up and wake him up at 4 Saturday morning.

11/7 4am comes really early-- even before the rooster crows! Got Brad up and sent him on his way to go hunting. I got up at 7 and went to Tupelo for a little shopping. Amos got new dog food, Brad got snacks from Indianola Pecan House and Jenessa got a birthday gift. Don't worry; I bought a good bit for myself! Jeans, a sweater, a coat (maybe Santa Claus will reimburse me for that) and some gold berries for my Christmas tree. While I was shopping, Brad came home from hunting, changed clothes and left for the airport. He flew from Corinth to Tupelo to pick up his instructor and do some training. While they were training, I drove home from Tupelo and unloaded my goodies and picked up a few things around the house. While I was doing that, Brad was landing back in Corinth and I drove to the airport to meet him and drop off his extra headset (that I laid out with his first set, but he still managed to forget one set). I dropped it off, met his passenger and then left. Brad was going to take this guy up and let him take pics of the Grand Illumination from the sky (I've tried finding a website that has details and pics, but no luck...). I heard he would have had some great shots, but his camera messed up and they were ALL blurry! While he was flying, I went to my mom and dad's then to a benefit for a 19 year old with a brain tumor. While I was there, Brad called and left his wallet in the plane and he was at the gas station with an empty tank. I left and met him and filled his truck up then he went to meet someone at the airport to get his wallet. While I went back to the benefit (and stayed for about 2 hours) he was running around Lowe's and Wal-Mart getting ready for Arkansas. He made it home about 9 and I got home about 945. It was a looooooong day.

11/8 (Keep up!) I wake him up at 430 so he can get up and meet a friend to go to Arkansas to work on their blinds and clearing debris out. I head to church at 830 and he's almost to AR. After church I head home to do some SPEED-CLEANING then I head back to church for a baby shower. After that it's grocery shopping, then home to do laundry and pick up. I finished 6 loads of laundry (still need to fold and put away) and cleaned the kitchen. I celebrated/relaxed with an ice cream cone. Yum! Brad made it home about 9.

11/9 WORK. We're both free tonight so I plan on cooking supper, watching TV, and going to bed early!! Brad has something to do after work tomorrow so we'll start over with the busy part.

Still with me? Great. We're at the end!
