WILW: Fall Part 2

Yay for hump day!! A few weeks ago I did a WILW post about fall and today I will do part 2!

Don't forget to visit here!
This will be the second brand eye roller I have tried and so far I'm loving it. Will I buy it again? Maybe. I really want to try a few others before I label one as my "favorite".
I finally caved and jumped on the bandwagon. Yep, I joined {and now stalk/use} Pinterest. I'm loving all the ideas I'm finding. I've even started my shopping list after browsing around.

Fall is, hands down, my favorite time of year. It's the cooler temp, colors, smells and changes that I love. Plus it kick starts the holiday season. Leaves around here have started slowing changing colors and the weather has been cooler for a day or two. It's that time!
I love pumpkins! I haven't carved one in years, but it's on my "fall bucket list" this year.
Now that the weather is getting cooler it's time to bring out the light jackets! I love cooler weather! I read somewhere the other day that fall is God's gift to Southerners for surviving summer. :)
I haven't put away my flip flops yet, but I have been sporting my Toms a few times already. I love my Toms! A second pair is already on my list of "must have: fall clothes".
I'm loving this new show! It's my kind of humor and I laugh out loud almost the entire episode. I used to want to have guy roommates- I just think that would be easier than living with girls {most of my friends are guys!}
Maybe sometime soon I'll do a post about my fall line-up for this season. There's several new shows out that are good and are replacing some of my old faves {like CSI}.

I hope you all are loving something today!

Week of Movies

Thanks to free movie channels this past weekend, I used plenty of my DVR storage space! I have watched three movies so far...
This wasn't my first time to watch Juno. I've watched it once before and liked it. It's definitely different, but I laughed out loud several times!

This was my first time to watch 500 Days of Summer and let's just say I was surprised at the ending. I'm not a huge fan of movie jumping around {Day 342 then to Day 156}, but it wasn't too difficult to keep up with. I love both leading actors and the friends are hilarious!

I had read several, several mixed reviews about this movie. I heard everything from "don't waste your time" to "it's a MUST watch". Of course, probably the only reason I watched it was good ole Robert". I will say I wasn't expecting that to happen at all. I normally have a good idea of what's going to happen, but maybe because I was watching and taking care of Amos or maybe because I was that into it that I just didn't see that coming. At all. I won't say anymore just in case you haven't watched it yet. I have probably said enough already. The movie seems slow, but I'm glad I watched it.

I've also been to the theater twice this week. That never happens! I love going to watch movies, but at the outrageous price I find myself only watching movies I just can't live without! I wish you could get a movie card sort of like a Kroger card or Petsmart card! That would be nice! Malco, are you listening??

First up was... Crazy, Stupid Love. I watched this Saturday with Whitney!! {We were the only ones to watch it!}
Words cannot describe this movie, but I'll try... awesome, hilarious, freaking awesome, freaking hilarious, super funny, yum-o, love, favorite, and well... you get the idea. Folks, I WILL be buying this. I might even fork out the money to watch it in the theater again.

Next up was the Help. I watched this with Kayla on Tuesday.

We went to the 7:30 show and didn't leave until 10! We were the youngest in the theater by about 20 or so years! It was super crowded for a Tuesday at 7:30, but since they were all older {and mature} you could still watch the movie in peace without teenagers giggling and talking and texting the whole time. If you haven't read the book, then stop what you are doing and go read it! Then watch this movie. For the first time in a long time, the movie is reallllly close to the book! Yay! Of course a few things were swapped around, but you have to do that to keep from having a 4 hour movie. I really enjoyed this! Of course, I've lived in Mississippi my whole life and it amazes me how things used to be. I'm so glad things have changed. The South gets looked down on so often, and it's so sad. I can't help what people did 50-60 years ago. I can only do my best today.

Next up on my movie list? Not sure! I have plenty more sitting and waiting on me thanks to my handy-dandy DVR. Then I find out this morning that since my parents are now such loyal customers that we get free movie channels for 3 months. Score! :) Have a great weekend and go watch a movie!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's that time again! :) I skipped out on last week's since I was a little busy... you know... on vacation!! It was wonderful! Let's move on, shall we? Talking about it just reminds me that I'm back at work :(

Make sure you link up to Jamie's blog too! I'd love to see what you're loving :)
These will be pretty self explanatory so I'm going to try to limit my words, but who am I kidding? I am a talker...

I'm loving Adam... I have always been a 5 fan, but more now than ever!

These are actually pretty tasty {and healthy} :)

25 of these = 200 calories-- You won't be able to eat all 25 in one day either!

Yay for summer shows!!

I like The Voice much more than I like AI

My new Tory Burch glasses! Mine are very similar to these :)

Finished this book on vacation... there's just something about the South. You have to read this!

Ok, so I tried to not say write too much, but oh, well! What all are you loving? No, seriously... what are you loving? Tell me. I'm in a nosey mood + I'm in a don't-want-to-work-mood!

No title today... nothing going on around here.

This past weekend was good! We went out to eat with some friends at a new Mexican restaurant, La Perla Tapatia. The food was good, but nothing special. Then we went back to our house and watched The Blind Side.

Saturday, I woke up bright and early and went to my grandmother's house for breakfast. We had a house full- Mama Lynn, mom, Courtney, Chloe, me, two aunts, one uncle, two cousins and a friend. Mama Lynn cooked biscuits, gravy (regular and chocolate), fried and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. YUM. I got to visit with mom and dad for a bit then it was off to town to pick Brad up. He was leaving his truck in town to have something repaired. I went home and napped for almost two hours (after popping a Benedryl and Tylenol for a cold/allergy issue). I felt much better after I woke up! Brad and I went to Russell's for a surprise 50th birthday party for my aunt. I forgot my camera at home so I didn't get any pictures. :( We had a nice meal (us, my mom, my aunt, her 5 kids, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandkids and most of her co-workers). Then it was birthday cake time! After we left, Brad was kind enough to go with me to the grocery store! Talk about an exciting Saturday night!

Sunday was typical too. Church in the morning, then I came home and picked up the house and did a few loads of laundry. I picked up some pizzas to eat during the Superbowl and Brad went flying with Tim. It was Tim's first ride and he loved it. We ended up staying home for the Superbowl and enjoying our pizzas our self!

Monday, we woke up to a surprise! 4-6 inches of SNOW! No warning at all the night before. In fact, the weathermen were predicting a 70% chance of RAIN. No rain for us--- it was snow and it was so pretty and fluffy, but we couldn't play in it because we had to work! I was going to ride with Brad to work, but his van couldn't make it out of the driveway. How crazy?! We had to switch all of his tools from his work van to his 4wd truck. Then we were off! I'll post some pictures later this week. It started raining Monday afternoon so it was nice, wet and mushy by the time we got home. Brad did get to throw a few snowballs at Amos though. He would throw one and hit him and Amos would buck and jump and grab it in his mouth and chomp on it until it was gone. That happened about 25 times until Brad's hand turned red and stiff.

Yesterday most of it was gone, but you could still see what was once snowmen all over the place. Tonight, Brad and I are making a quick trip to Tupelo to pick up some dog food for Amos and then we really don't have any other plans this week. Oh, I do have a girls-night-out-Bunco thing tomorrow night. We've decided not to play Bunco anymore but instead just meet at a restaurant and eat and talk. This should work out much better since people would forget their money or the dice or something. Plus we would only play a few times, but spend the majority of time waiting on someone to get there or just talking. No real game playing going on! Ha!

I still haven't picked my pictures up from Wal-Mart and I am not going to order anymore until I pick those up. Hopefully I'll meet my goal of being caught up before the end of this month! I know it's only Wednesday, but this hasn't been a good work week for me. In fact, today while at the grocery store (after being handled by a 90 yr old greeter) I picked up a small tub (one serving tub) of chocolate chip cookie dough and had that for lunch. Mmmmm.... ice cream makes everything better, right? Except for my sugar! Ha!

Tonight is Mercy!!!

Yay for Wednesday

I finally sat down and worked on ordering some of my pictures. I pulled out my most recent photo album and realized it hasn't been updated since August. So, I printed off several pictures of birthday parties and our vacation to the mountains and once I get those in and in the album I'll do a little more. Hopefully, I'll get caught up in the next few weeks.

Oh, I should tell you that the whole "joining the gym" thing fell through. Whitney told me Monday morning that she and her husband are moving to Oxford... immediately... as soon as they find a house! Soooo... no gym for me. :( Maybe I'll figure something else out.

I added 3 new posts with pictures. Maybe that will keep me up to date on here for a while. After you look at them you'll realize I'm a pretty boring person (even though you probably already new that). I have more pictures on my other camera card so maybe I'll get those uploaded and on here soon.

I've cooked twice this week! Monday night was meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. In my defense, Brad was working out so I went ahead and started the meatloaf. I was going to finish the sides once he called to let me know he was on his way home. He didn't call so the only thing I had finished was the mac-n-cheese so we settled for that. It was already 8pm and I was starving! Tuesday we had grilled pork chops, left over mac-n-cheese and roasted potatoes and green beans. It was another late night since Brad worked late. Tonight? L-e-f-t-o-v-e-r-s. I will not be cooking tonight. I have plans-- I'm either going to catch up on my shows (Biggest Loser, White Collar, and Mercy) OR I'm going to force my husband to "sit down and shut up" while we watch Twilight.

I started the book Sunday and finished it yesterday. It was pretty good so I'm looking forward to the movie even though everyone tells me it's not as good as the book.

Happy Hump Day!
