Where Should I Start?

May 20- Letters to Juliet with Jenessa- I really liked that movie! It was predictable, but funny and sweet too! There were woman 50+ years old and teens 15 years old watching it. Almost everyone cried at one point during the movie {but not me!}.

May 22- Chloe had a dance "thing" {not recital} in Sears parking lot. Her group danced to Shake Rattle & Roll and she shook it!! I was so impressed that she got out there in front of all those people and danced! Later that afternoon, Brad and I met up with Jesse {a high school friend of Brad's} and went to the Pickwick drag strip! I even got to ride in Jesse's car {ok, so I like to go fast}.

May 23- We had lunch at Mama Lynn's and I snapped a picture of Chloe

May 24- Brad had another doctor's appt in Columbus. The doctor said he's improved, but he still didn't clear him at 100%. We'll go back July 7th and hopefully he'll clear him then! We also celebrated 8 years since our first date :) HA!

May 27- Mom had her first appt with the Shea Clinic in Memphis. The doctor started her on a steroid injection and she had two more injections on Friday, the 28th. Savannah Grace got admitted to the hospital in Tupelo on the 27th also.

May 28- Savannah had her appendix removed!

May 31- Happy Memorial Day!! We didn't do much to celebrate, but we did make homemade vanilla ice cream! YUM! We all know ice cream is my favorite!

June 1- I got a new vacuum! Yes, I'm excited over a vacuum! You would be too if you had a 170lb shedding Mastiff in your house! I wanted a Dyson Animal Ball so badly, but we can't justify that much money right now :( {I try to remind myself that Brad really did need that surgery! HA!} This one is wonderul! I really do like it, but it's embarrassing how dirty my floors were. Guess I should have replaced my old one sooner. I vacuumed twice that day and Brad vacuumed the next. Nerds.

June 3- went to the eye doctor for my routine check up and was told my sight is a little worse {he tells me that every single time I go see him} so I got a stronger prescription and hope to pick out new frames soon!

June 5- Brad and I help Levi move some of his furniture into his new apartment in Farmington. Then we went to Cafe Mike's to throw darts. It was my first time to throw and surprisingly I did fairly well. Ok, so I either did really well or terrible. No in between with me!

June 6- I went with Brad and Levi to Cullman, AL. They went skydiving!!! And they both survived to tell about it! :)

June 8- Some of the ladies I work with went out to eat (Mi Toro) then to watch Sex and the City 2. I would not recommend it.

June 10- I went shopping and lucked up on 5 new shirts and 2 pairs of earrings! Chloe had dance recital practice from 5-8pm!

June 11- Savannah turned 14 {tear!} and Chloe had recital practice from 5-830 again!

June 12- The big day! Chloe's recital! All the dancers had to be there at 2 to get dressed, hair, make-up and to get ready. The recital started at 3 and was over at 6. Talk about some tired babies!! And tired "mamas"! Chloe did really well though! People kept complimenting her and she told me "I don't want it to be over. I want to keep dancing!"

June 13- Amos turned #2!! We now have a teenager {2 in human years * 7=14 in dog years, right?}. Since he has a wheat allergy I couldn't find any special doggie treats in Corinth. We celebrated with extra treats at our house! I also went to a baby shower at church for a girl I went to high school with. She's having a girl (Allison Elizabeth "Allie") and I've never seen so much frilly pink before {insert gag}. I told Lori that if I ever have a baby and it's a girl, I will make them put in the bulletin "NO PINK".

June 14- Chloe's last t-ball game! She really enjoyed playing this season, but last night was SO hot!

That catches me and you up, I think!

Chloe's 1st T-Ball Game & My Birthday

This year Chloe is a Gator
Notice her pink bat {not my idea}
Like mammy, like granddaughter
Running to 1st
And {not so happily} getting tagged out
After the game is over they all get to run the bases one last time
{then get a sucker}After the game, we celebrated my birthday
{with my favorite BR Pralines N Cream Ice Cream Cake}

Levi's Visit

Levi's puppy, Mika-
she has really pretty eyes, but they showed up red and when I tried to correct them they changed colors.
Miya and Mika trying to figure out what that large thing was... {it was Amos!}
Levi posing with Mika
Notice the time! We got in bed at 12:30 and got up at 5:30 to get ready for the air show!
Miya- I tried to get more pictures of her, but she is quick!
Not taking her eyes off Amos!

Watching and watchign and watching...
Amos started barking at them!

Amos really did enjoy the pups! We let them all play in the kitchen for a little while, but Amos thougth they were "toys" so we separated them for a bit. I was scared my 170lb dog would hurt the 20lb pups! They were walking and running and jumping and sniffing every inch of the kitchen and Amos would prance over to his bed and lay down like "this is MY bed". As soon as he would get up, the pups would run over there and jump on his bed. Then he would run them off and it would start all over again! I got a few minutes of video, but can't get it posted.

Columbus Air Show 2010

Saturday morning {early}, Brad, Levi and I loaded up and headed South to Columbus Air Force Base to watch the Air Show and see the Thunderbirds!
We got there a little after 9 and walked around the display of jets, fighter planes, helicopters and everything else that was there!

After walking a while in the heat, we took a break in the shade!

The opening "act" was the Pitts plane. The pilot is a retired attorney. She started flying when she was 50 years old!! She does the nose-diving, zig-zagging, up & down moves. Hate I couldn't get any better shots!

Air Force Thunderbirds! That's the bottom of the planes...

Tops of the planes...

Signifying the ones that don't make it back

The show was over about 4:00 and traffic getting off base was terrible! We finally made it onto the highway around 5:15 (?) We treated ourselves to Outback afterwards. I'm sure people thought we were crazy! We were all sun-burnt and redfaced, but we deserved a good meal. We spent Sunday recovering! I couldn't even put on makeup or use a hair-dryer on my hair from the sunburn I got!
Brad loved it and said we would be well prepared for next year {umbrellas to block the sun, less clothing, more money, etc} It was hot as blazes out there and I'm not used to being outdoors for 8 hours!

2010 Flood

This is going down Hwy 72 in front of Russell's
One of our shopping centers: Belk, JcPenney, Maurices, Bookland, etc... and our friend Chad's Allstate business
Another shot of Allstate and Belk
Inside KMart- notice things floating down the aisle!
Another shopping center
This water was filled with snakes!
The water actually got higher- high enough to go over the hoods of the trucks. See the lights on the trucks? They were shorting out. People could see lights flashing and hear the horn!
McDonald's drive-thru! Residential area- that's someone's deep freeze floating down their driveway.

Another Hodge Podge

My sweet "little" Amos under my kitchen table!
Brad posing with his new "toy"
I left off last week talking about my weekend plans. Well, none of it came through! After work I had errands to run then made it home just in time to pick Brad up and take him to the after hours clinic. He has strep! Then we met Pug, Tyler (age 10) and Haley (age 8) at Cafe Mike's.

Saturday the weather was terrible. It rained all.day.long plus we had tornado watches and warnings for our area. It finally cleared out in the afternoon long enough for us to go to town, eat and then rent a movie. We took them to Geisha {the new Japanese restaurant} and they loved it. Haley will eat anything and try anything Tyler is more like me-- very picky about food! He enjoyed his shrimp, but wouldn't touch the sushi {cooked!}. We rented 2012 and went back to the house just in time for more rain and more bad weather. The movie was pretty good, but long. We called it a night about 11pm!

Sunday morning we woke up to even worse weather! More rain and wind and rain and rain and rain. I had already showered for church then decided I couldn't drive myself in that mess and then I received a text telling me church was cancelled due to flooding roads! The rain finally slacked off enough for Pug and the kids to leave and head back toward Arkansas. He had a terrible time finding a way to town due to water on the roads. I've got pictures of town flooding and I'll post those later.

Monday was my 26th birthday! Some of the people I work with had me a small birthday party. The cake was YUM. After work, I went grocery shopping {how grown up of myself...} then home to help Brad load the tractor and return it to his grandfather. We visited with them a bit then hit up Waffle House {yes, I know you're jealous of my birthday celebration!}.

Tuesday Brad's parents, sister and grandparents took us out for my birthday. We went to Taylor's. Due to all of the flooding, a lot of places were closed!

Yesterday I went to Lowe's and Wal-Mart to do a little shopping. I ended up with a new American flag, two ferns and some Miracle Grow soil (I'll need all the help I can get). I hope to finish this project this weekend if I can find the time!

Today {Thursday} is Chloe's first t-ball game! I can't wait to see how much she's changed since last year. Afterwards I'll get to spend a little time with my family for my birthday! :)

I think Levi is coming in this weekend and I have plans to go to Tupelo with my sister and mom. Sunday is Mother's Day so I'll have even more family time! My family plans on having lunch together at Chapman's then we're going to Collierville with Brad's family Sunday afternoon. What a busy weekend?!
