Jinny & Jack
A few weeks ago, we had an unexpected guest show up in our pasture....
We went out to visit with Jinny, our sweet, "pet" donkey...
And found this cutie! Meet Jack :) My dad had called and told us we had a new baby donkey; we weren't certain Jinny was expecting until a few days before Jack was born.

Jinny stayed pretty close for the first few days. Now I think she tries to get away from him!
Jack is now running around and acting silly. He's finally figured out how to work those long, skinny legs of his and it's pretty cute to watch!

Six Years
*This post is incredibly late*
Six years ago, on September 29th my sweet, handful-of-a-child, niece was born. Time really does fly!
We had her party at Tad's {sort of like Chuck E Cheese}. There have bouncy houses and games to keep people entertained. I didn't get many pictures {this was a few days after the broken tail bone incident and I didn't feel like running around and bending and squatting to get pictures} but I got a few of her and her cake.
We had a Tangled theme {or according to my mother, Twisted} and my mother in law made the cake!
The girl loaded up with clothes and toys {as usual}. All in all, I think it was a great party! Happy sixth birthday, Clo-Monster!

Show Us Your Life- Pets
I have been reading Kelly's blog for a few years now, but I have never linked up! Today is all about pets and I couldn't resist! If you aren't sure just how crazy I am about my dog, please look over to the right and click on Amos :)
My husband and I had been married for 6 months when we decided to get a dog. I wanted a cute, cuddly house dog and he wanted a "man's" dog... whatever that is?! One night we had people over for a Labor Day cookout and he came in the house and announced "hon, I just bought us a dog! Do you have a Paypal account?" I was less than thrilled with him at that point and even worse when I found out he had bought a Mastiff! A 200 pound, slobbering, hairy dog was not exactly what I had in mind... BUT when I met the little underweight, sickly pup my husband bought from a puppy mill I couldn't get enough of him! Amos was 12 weeks and 15 pounds when we got him. He should have been around 45 pounds! It's been a long, expensive 3 years, but I wouldn't trade it. Enough with the rambling... meet Amos Moses!
Amos is now 3 years old and averaging 185 pounds. He's still underweight for a Mastiff, but that's fine with me! :) Mastiffs are called the Gentle Giants and that is SO true. He is by far the sweetest, best dog! He's very protective though... he will "guard" me when I'm home alone. It's so cute!
I could go on and on, but I won't. Just click on his name to the right if you'd like to read more... There is plenty!
Thanks for stopping by!

Friday 15
I have absolutely no idea where to start with a catch up post. Things have been bananas lately! I'm going to post the first 15 thoughts that pop into my head. Bare with me... :)
- We sold the house! I'm still sad and happy that I've only stalked it once.
- We moved everything into a storage unit. I spent lots and lots of time researching and organizing. I can honestly say I know where 95% of things are. Plus they're packed away with dryer sheets {to keep bugs away}, wooden pallets {to keep things off the floor}, drop cloths {to keep the wood furniture protected}, plastic, mouse poison, moisture catcher thingys and lots of bug spray. I feel much better now.
- I still haven't finished unpacking and organizing the apartment though. There are about 3 more tubs I need to work on. It doesn't help that Brad has moved in some of his hunting
crapthings already. - I would have liked to finish the unpacking part, but I've been busy lately. Plus I can't sit in the floor to sort through things or sit on the couch and bend over digging in plastic tubs.
- My broken tail bone seems to be healing nicely. I'm very impatient though and want it to be done with... NOW. Combine that with the fact that I forget it's broken and then bad things happen. Long drives (over 30 minutes) are still not fun; neither is sitting at my desk at work.
- Brad and I went to an air show in Millington, TN a few weeks ago (pics to come soon) and had a good time. This was before I knew my tail bone was broken. I couldn't figure out why I was hurting SO badly. I was sitting in one of those folding chairs that you carry in a bag and I could barely move at the end of the show (almost 3 hour drive, 6 hour show and 3 hour drive home). I normally have a good tolerance for pain, but that was driving me crazy!!
- The next week Brad went to another one in Halls, TN or somewhere around there. He took a ride in a cool plane (pics to come). I stayed home :)
- Last weekend I drove to AR and met Brad at his workplace. We hopped in a plane and flew south to Inverness, MS for "Duster Doings". Basically this older ag pilot lets all of his ag pilot friends fly in and spend the day swapping stories and eating. It was an hour flight down and then a little more than an hour back {strong wind!} and so flippin' bumpy. It was my first flight in a 4 seater plane and my first flight to ride in the backseat {I don't even ride in the backseat of a car!!}. I didn't throw up, but I did come close on the flight back!
- Brad is registered for a week long ag course in Ft. Pierce, Florida! Guess who will be taking a week vacation and going with him? Me! The room is booked and the rental car is booked and we're ready to go! Just a few more weeks... I'm going to miss Amos though!! I've never been away from him for this long before. Amos is a special needs dog so I'm worried about him, but I know my mom and dad will take good care of him!
- Courtney {my sis} turned 29 and Chloe turned 6 last week. We partied Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday! I was party pooped out!
- I have no idea what this weekend holds and that's ok... I have a few things in mind.
- Monday is Columbus Day!! That means no work for me Monday!! Woot woot! I'm thrilled about this. Over the moon excited. I'm so ready for a day off.
- My mom, sister, niece and I plan on shopping Monday. Lord help us! Chloe hates shopping, I'm crippled, mom's crippled and Courtney has a heart condition. Fun times! Ha! Court and Clo are going on a cruise soon so they're looking for cruise clothes. Chloe needs fall clothes. Mom is just going {although we might convince her to buy a thing or two}. I'm in desperate need of fall clothes. I have sweaters, plenty of sweaters, but nothing to wear in fallish weather.
- Amos threw up four times this week. I have no idea why. He's such a sickly dog. He started chewing on his toy last night so I think he's finally feeling better.
- I plan on posting pictures very soon! I have so many I need to upload and edit and hopefully I'll have time to do that soon.

WILW: Fall Part 2
Yay for hump day!! A few weeks ago I did a WILW post about fall and today I will do part 2!
![]() |
Don't forget to visit here!
This will be the second brand eye roller I have tried and so far I'm loving it. Will I buy it again? Maybe. I really want to try a few others before I label one as my "favorite".
I finally caved and jumped on the bandwagon. Yep, I joined {and now stalk/use} Pinterest. I'm loving all the ideas I'm finding. I've even started my shopping list after browsing around.
Fall is, hands down, my favorite time of year. It's the cooler temp, colors, smells and changes that I love. Plus it kick starts the holiday season. Leaves around here have started slowing changing colors and the weather has been cooler for a day or two. It's that time!
I love pumpkins! I haven't carved one in years, but it's on my "fall bucket list" this year.
Now that the weather is getting cooler it's time to bring out the light jackets! I love cooler weather! I read somewhere the other day that fall is God's gift to Southerners for surviving summer. :)
I haven't put away my flip flops yet, but I have been sporting my Toms a few times already. I love my Toms! A second pair is already on my list of "must have: fall clothes".
I'm loving this new show! It's my kind of humor and I laugh out loud almost the entire episode. I used to want to have guy roommates- I just think that would be easier than living with girls {most of my friends are guys!}
Maybe sometime soon I'll do a post about my fall line-up for this season. There's several new shows out that are good and are replacing some of my old faves {like CSI}.I hope you all are loving something today!

WILW
Whew! It feels like forever ago since the last time I did a WILW post! I'll keep it short and sweet {or try}...

Don't forget to visit Jamie!
I'm loving this weather change, but I'm not loving my frizzy hair! I couldn't find my usual go-to hair helper, but I found and bought this. So far I'm loving it-- just make sure not to use too much!
I'm loving my super cool "butt pillow" similar to this one, but mine is bright yellow!! I fell two weeks ago and "cracked my coccyx" {gotta love when you know the nurse!}. So I've been sporting this cool fella, nicknamed "Mr. Cheerio".

Just to be clear: I'm not loving the broken tailbone!
I'm also loving pain meds :) HAHA I am NOT a druggie... {you try working 8 hours a day IN a chair with a broken tailbone!} I've started taking Ibuprofen 800mg and I'm loving them!
I'm loving this week for a few reasons! Sunday was my sweet grandmother's birthday. Tuesday was my sister's birthday and Thursday will be my niece's birthday! We've been partying all week!
I'm loving this post that I wrote yesterday. Please check it out and leave me some love comments. I need to be reminded I'm somewhat normal. :)
I'm also loving that I put up our Columbus Day sign Monday. That means we get a 4 day work week very soon!
I'm loving that I'll be spending a week here sometime soon! Too bad Brad will be in class all week!
